Stefanos Kozanis
About me
I am research associate working mainly as software developer at the Department of Water Resources, School of Civil Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
I am the principal maintainer of Hydrognomon, Enhydris, filotis and openmeteo.org and I participate in several projects of the ITIA research team.
My interests in software development are on scientific computing and on special web services such as web GIS. I use several computer languages in my projects such as C/C++, Delphi, Python and javascript and several development toolkits and frameworks such as Django, OpenLayers, PyQt and more. I prefer FLOSS development tools and most of my applications are FLOSS also.
I am currently experimenting with open GIS technologies and I am trying to introduce GeoDjango, PostGIS and OpenLayers in my projects.
Much of my spare time is devoted to music. I am a classical trained pianist and I am currently studying jazz piano at the Athenaeum Conservatory. I made some attempts in composing, including soundtracks for short films like this one.
