Openmeteo.org, founded in 2003, would be a site dedicated to collaboration among people interested in meteorology, promoting the free sharing of meteorological information. Its core would be a web-accessible database of meteorological information, where anyone would be able to store their timeseries of meteorological measurements. In addition, it would provide a version control repository and bug tracking for the software, mailing lists, and a wiki.
Openmeteo soon fell into inactivity because of lack of interest from its founder and lack of funding. On 25 September 2007, it was decided to take it down because the maintenance of the server was a burden.
However, in 2010 the project was revived, largely because some funding was secured. The revived project lives at http://openmeteo.org/. Therefore, please go there. There is probably nothing interesting for you here.
The purpose of this page is to hold archived material of the old openmeteo.org. This archived material is the software and the bug reports. There is no archive of the database, as it contained nothing but data from the southeast meteorological station of NTUA, which can all be found at the website of the station.
The software, however, has been discarded. The new openmeteo.org has entirely new software, and the old bug reports are therefore irrelevant. (Besides, there's no shortage of bug reports in the new system.) This page exists only for archival and completeness.
